This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.

Now the application shows an alert to the user when it doesn't have access to save the photo. User shall update the device settings accordingly. (Settings - > Privacy -> Photos)

Based on your feedback we have added:
-Missed the gun?. Don't worry, now you can predefine the start time of the timer. Use the Options button.
-Now the photos are stored in a separate album of the camera roll for your easy access.
-Improved the resolution of the photos.
