The latest major update introduced refreshed question banks and a name change, but the user experience suffered due to the addition of unskippable video ads. While the content updates are linked to improved test results, the rating average dropped from 3.77 to 3.67 on Android. The overall impact is negative due to the immediate emergence of ad-related friction.

TP Test has a brand-new engine.

You will notice a fresh name when you open the app, but the home screen you know is right where you left it. Under the hood, though, everything that powers your practice has been rebuilt from the ground up.

What's new in this version:

  - All-new test engine. We rebuilt the core practice and mock-test experience to be faster, smoother, and more reliable, so every session loads quickly and tracks your progress
  accurately.
  - Fully refreshed question banks. Questions and answers across all theory tests have been reviewed and updated:
    - Basic Theory Test (BTT)
    - Final Theory Test (FTT)
    - Riding Theory Test (RTT)
    - Private Hire Car Driver Vocational Licence (PDVL)
    - Taxi Driver Vocational Licence (TDVL)
  - The familiar home screen. We kept the layout you are used to, so there's nothing new to learn. Just open the app and pick up where you left off.
