TrainerKit 5.2 is about trusting your ride data — especially on Apple Watch. Apple Watch • Standalone rides are now saved continuously as you ride and secured the moment you tap End, so a dead battery or a crash no longer costs you the ride. • A ride interrupted mid-way is recovered the next time you open the app. • Ending a long ride is faster, and the sync status now tells you when the ride has really reached your iPhone and iCloud. • New Map Page switch and Low Power Mode support for longer battery life on big days. • Heart rate shows "--" when the sensor drops out instead of a stale number. Recover from Apple Health • If a Watch ride never made it into TrainerKit, you can now rebuild it on iPhone from Apple Health — heart rate, distance, energy, power and the GPS route. Outdoors • More accurate distance on twisty trails. Enduro and mountain bike rides were reading several percent short; iPhone and Apple Watch now measure the corners properly. • Power meter and sensor battery levels, with a heads-up at ride start if your power meter is low or missing. • If your power meter dies mid-ride, the ride still counts: training load is estimated from heart rate and marked as such in History. • Changes you make on the ride summary screen — name, ride type, bike — are saved as you make them. Coaching • Smarter post-ride notes: how the ride fit your current training phase, how it compared with your usual ride that day, and how you paced it. • On devices with the latest Apple Intelligence model, the post-ride note is written more naturally — always from your real ride data. • E-bike rides now count toward your training load through heart rate. • Recovery is planned after every race, not just your priority events. • Clearer end-of-week guidance and more reliable progression targets. Trips • Name the venue for each day of a trip and mark Off and Travel days. • Trip days on the calendar show what you're actually doing that day. • Coaching understands lift-served downhill days, and no longer suggests an interval workout in the middle of a trip. Plus iCloud sync fixes — including deleted races that could reappear on another device — and many other refinements.
