This is a massive update. It’s still the same app, just… better and even more beautiful than before.

## Liquid Glass
This version fully embraces Liquid Glass. We updated the app across the board, including but not limited to:
- The library, dashboard, Quick Open, toolbars, buttons, popovers for images, links, annotations, etc. etc.
- You can finally resize the dashboard (iPad).
- You can finally have sheet list AND dashboard open (iPad).
- The editor now has a large bottom inset (aka Overscroll), so the transitions from reading to editing and back are much smoother, especially when using the onscreen keyboard.
- You can now create new sheets from the Library (iPhone); these will either end up in your main Inbox or in “Project › Extras › Pending”.
- The iPhone on-screen keyboard gained a very prominent close button.
- We even updated the app icon to match the new look.

## Swipe Actions
We added swipe actions to both the library and the sheet list.
- A primary action specific to the current group or filter (such as “Reveal in Group”)
- A full contextual menu as secondary action.

## Improved physical keyboard navigation

- Most formatting is supported; some limitations apply (images won’t work).
- On Substack, we even support buttons (via raw source) and Spotify previews (via text links).

## Editor Themes
We have added two options for editor themes.
- Quotes can have a large font size.
- Some outlines can be hidden.
This resulted in TWO new default themes.
- D26 builds on the system palette and utilizes the new styling options.
- D26 Mono is a toned-down version, perfectly suited for monospaced fonts.

## App Intents
We have revamped our integration with Spotlight and the Shortcuts app. New actions include:
- “Find Sheet” and “Find Group”, with configurable filters.
- “Import File”, to convert any given text file into a sheet.
- “Search in Ulysses”, to open the in-app search with a pre-defined search term.

## Other improvements
- You now start text check via the Dashboard.
- You can now set Favorite/Material status via the Dashboard.
- Setting, showing and editing goals is much more straight-forward now.
- Reworked the line width setting for iPad, allowing for a narrower text width in the editor.
- Syntax highlight for Swift code snippets.
- New color for group icons and keywords: brown.
- Search finds sheets and groups from archived projects.
- Many smaller tweaks throughout the interface, including keywords, export, menus, the toolbar…

- Uploading images to WordPress for weird filenames.
- The issue where you could copy, but not paste, text as rich text into other apps such as Pages.
- A crash that occurred when rotating a Plus- or Max-sized iPhone into landscape.
- Ulysses launching into a blank screen when triggering the “Create Sheet” action (e.g. via Widgets or Control Center)
- A rare case of missing footnotes in PDF export.
- Issues with copy & paste of code snippets.
- The issue where the library trash would show trashed sheets from archived projects.

This version introduces a couple of changes to the Library:
- The iCloud section is now called “Notes”.
- The On My Device section is now called “Notes (On My Device)”.
- You can now swap the Projects and Notes sections in the library settings.
- You can now hide (and show) the Projects Archive via the section menu.
- You can now hide the global filter section (this will add an “All” filter in the Notes section).
- The Inbox now displays a sheet counter by default (you can disable this).
- You can now collapse the library sections by tapping on the section titles.
- You can now hide the Trash, as long as it’s empty.
- You can now decide whether the contents of your projects should appear in the global filters (All, Last 7 Days).
- We have removed the Introduction section from the library; the intro was painfully outdated, and all of its relevant content is now available via our Help Center.

Fixes:
- Fixed an issue with publishing to WordPress , if the sheet contained images with special characters.
- Fixed some strange results when reordering groups via drag & drop.

## Incoming Links (aka Backlinks)
The Dashboard now shows a list of sheets that link to the current sheet.
- You can jump to the corresponding sheet.
- You can also jump to the actual link(s) inside that sheet.

## Date Correction
The Dashboard can now show the creation and modification dates of the current sheet.
- You can adjust the creation date.
- You cannot adjust the modification date.

## Critical Fix
We have fixed an issue which could lead to an empty library after a system update, or after setting up a new device. We’re aware that this was a shocking experience for those affected, even if nothing was actually lost (the original library was “set aside” for some reason, and a new, empty one, was displayed instead). If you’re still having this issue, don’t hesitate to contact our support team.

## Other Improvements and Fixes
- When publishing to WordPress, marked text is now exported as… a marked text.
- When exporting as ePub, links in our Table of Contents now actually link to… the contents.
- Our exporters are now better at handling sheets with large images.
- We now support equations in TextBundle files inside external folders, so: {external [text (equation) bundle] folder}=1.
- We fixed various issues with Dynamic Type and VoiceOver.
- And we fixed a couple of obscure crashes and bugs (for example, we fixed a crash in the crash reporter, which sounds funny, but really wasn’t; ok, it was kinda funny).

## Table of contents
You can now add a table of contents to your documents.
- Type (toc) anywhere in your text to add a placeholder.
- This placeholder will become a full table of contents during export.
- All export formats are supported.
- You can even define a maximum heading level (e.g. “Titles only”).
- Exported PDFs also contain an outline of your headings.

## iPhone Action Button
You can now launch Ulysses from the Action button found on the latest iPhone models.
- “New Sheet” will launch Ulysses into a new, empty sheet in your Inbox.
- “Last sheet” will open the last edited sheet.
- “Search” will launch Ulysses directly into Quick Open.
- These actions are also available via Control Center on iOS 18.1.

## Writing Tools
Ulysses is ready for Writing Tools.

## Internal Links
You can now link to any heading within a sheet.
- Same sheet, other sheets, doesn‘t matter.
- Just start typing into the regular URL field, and auto-complete will list matching headings.
- You can quickly jump to such links (on iPad, try CMD-click).
- You can export those links (great for table of contents and personal knowledge bases).
- We even import internal links from Markdown, DOCX and HTML files.

## History Navigation
You can now jump back and forth between recently used sheets.
- Navigate to the last edit.
- Return to an internal link.
- Go back to the previous sheet after using Quick Open.

## Bugfixes
- Fixed restoring iCloud projects from backups (the iCloud backup wakeup).
