The Map Service Preference setting will determine the provider for directions and navigation as well as the map URL when sharing maps. Initial options include Apple Maps, Bing Maps, Google Maps and Open Street Maps. Contact us if you're favorite map service is not included. Improved map sharing URLs The URLs generated to share locations and to provide driving directions outside of Where Am I have been updated and improved. Small version bump but lots of changes and nice tweaks coming at cha in this update. Apple watch app rewritten to take advantage of watchOS 3. You can now run the watch app independently from your iPhone and take advantage of new location accuracy with series 2 devices. The watch app map is more zoomed in to show local streets and features and features improved accuracy. - New option to have the device speak the city name, address or coordinates. Useful for accessibility users or when driving. Tap and hold the city name to auto speak. - Made city name display larger and made fonts bigger all around - Changed copy coordinates function to a more copy & paste map friendly Decimal Degrees format. Thanks for using Where Am I for iOS and Apple watch. Here are the improvements in v1.1: Improved Wikipedia locations browser. Map compass orientation mode is now optional (via a new button) and will remember your preference. Ready and enhanced for iOS 9. Improved overall accuracy with new option to have prefer better accuracy or longer battery life Fixed a speedometer sporadic layout issue. Better Where details initial layout on iPads. Corrected a gnarly bug that could report incorrect coordinate direction indicators under rare circumstances. Feeling nice?
