- v2.10iOS
This update resolves a bug related to the entry of MGRS coordinates.
- v2.9iOS
This is primarily a bug-fix update.
- v2.8iOS
• There are new versions of the US Topo maps and the 2.5 m/pixel imagery for 23 states. • To update to these new maps, the Maps screen now has an "Update" action. • The app now includes a Safari extension that can replace links to map websites (e.g. Google Maps, OpenStreetMap) with links that open this app. • New "View In"s are available for Organic Maps and WikiNearby. • The Panorama screen now has a maximum distance setting, to limit views to realistic distances when visibility is imperfect. • 10m/pixel imagery has been added for the Nevada Test Area, where the 2.5m/pixel imagery is not available. • Bug fixes, including fixes for maps in the Pacific e.g. Guam, and the Aleutian Islands.
- v2.7iOS
• The app now has some basic support for the Apple Watch. • The Settings screen has been reorganized into a number of subsections. • When the app runs on a Mac in "Designed for iPad" mode a zoom control is shown in the corner of the window, making it possible to navigate with only a mouse. • A statistics section is now shown at the bottom of the Maps screen, indicating how many maps of each type are installed and how much storage they are occupying.
- v2.6iOS
• The search box now accepts coordinates. • You can now prevent the app from sleeping, either unconditionally or only when external power is applied; this could be useful if you have your device in a vehicle mount, or similar. • A "long touch" on the app's icon on your home screen will now offer three shortcuts: you can launch the app showing your current location, start a track recording, or search. • The search screen now remembers your recent searches. • You can now add web links to waypoints, routes, tracks and GPX files. • The app now has app icon variants for Dark and Tinted modes. • Bugs have been fixed.
- v2.5iOS
This update adds maps from the US Forest Service to the app, as an alternative to the USGS maps; these cover the approximately one sixth of the US that includes Forest Service lands. You can now adjust the blend mode that is used to combine topos and imagery to form the hybrid map. The maximum number of maps that can be downloaded at once has been increased.
- v2.4iOS
You can now add labels to panoramas, to identify summits and other features. You can also choose whether the panorama silhouette is shown over photos. In Location Options, you can now choose whether your location is shown by the existing blue spot or by an arrow that rotates to show the direction in which you are facing.
- v2.3iOS
This update adds some new features to the Panorama mode: you can now add photos to your panoramas, can export them as images, and can rotate them around 3 axis. It also fixes a bug, introduced in the last update, that caused some map tiles to be inverted.
- v2.2iOS
It's now possible to link multiple photos to waypoints, tracks and routes. As well as links to nearby photos from your photo library, these photos can now also be links to other photos from your library or internet links. "View In" now has options for Google Earth and Bing Maps.
- v2.1iOS
Panorama mode now has a compass button; turn this on and the panorama will pan as you rotate your device. You can now attach photos to waypoints, tracks and routes.
