What Is Sleep Restore?

Sleep Restore is a specialized health and fitness application designed to address stress-related insomnia, PTSD, and anxiety-induced sleep disruption. By leveraging Bilateral Stimulation (BLS)—a core component of EMDR therapy—the app aims to help users de-activate physical and mental distress to facilitate natural sleep. The app is uniquely positioned as a clinical-adjacent tool, frequently recommended by therapists, which grants it a high level of credibility within its niche. Its primary value proposition lies in its science-backed methodology rather than generic relaxation content. While it successfully serves a specific, high-intent audience, the app faces significant challenges regarding technical stability and the perceived value of its premium tier, which currently hinder its growth and user retention.

What Users Love

Therapeutic Effectiveness

It has been so helpful so far. What a beautiful combination to put gentle music to the BLS.

I struggle with PTSD which makes it almost impossible for me to fall asleep... I listen to 'The Night Watchman' audio and fall asleep almost instantaneously.

Clinical Recommendation

I was recommended this app by my emdr therapist.

Mark Grant's Sleep Restore app is a great resource. As a new EMDR therapist, I have been recommending it to clients.

Pain Points

Playback Instability

Would be very good but it shuts off after about 2 to 3 minutes. Keeps crashing.

For some reason it's not playing all the way through and cuts off in the middle.

Monetization and Access

I paid for the premium version and It worked for a while. Now I dont have the premium access anymore.

There isn’t BLS on the Stress portion. Very disappointed, it's supposed to be there.
